On the thirteenth day of BlogMas I bring to you my favourite Christmas TV episodes. Now, I watch a lot of different television shows, which made this a little difficult asI didn’t want to go too crazy. I narrowed it down to my top three, with a couple honourable mentions.
Let’s get right into it!
3) Sherlock – Season 2, Episode 1 – ‘A Scandal In Belgravia’.
Okay, so this episode isn’t really entirely about Christmas, but it has an amazing Christmas scene, many Christmas related things (such as John‘s wicked jumper) and is a great episode in it’s own right. They have a Christmas party at the legendary 221B Baker Street and Molly looks incredible.
2) NCIS – Season 9, Episode 11 – ‘Newborn King’.
NCIS has had some great Christmas episodes over the years, but this is the one I remember best. The episode is a little cheesy at times, but it’s sweet and has a great message, and isn’t that what Christmas is about?
Honourable Mentions (or the ones that would’ve made the list if it were longer):
Arrow – Season 1, Episode 9 – ‘Year’s End’.
Big Bang Theory- Season 2, Episode 11 – ‘The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis’.
One of the funniest Big Bang episodes if you ask me. This episode really encapsulates the difficulties of getting people great presents.
Hawaii Five-0 – Season 1, Episode 12 – ‘Hana ‘a’a Makehewa’.
AND IN FIRST PLACE! *drum roll*
1) Supernatural – Season 3, Episode 8 – ‘A Very Supernatural Christmas’.
The title of this episode really says it all. It’s just an incredible episode about Dean’s last Christmas before he goes to Hell (then comes back again, but that’s for another time). The brothers encounter two Pagan Gods, who are just seriously awesome characters (though they do pull Sam’s fingernail off with pliers). It also has flashbacks to when they were kids, which I always love.
Well there you have it! I’ll be back tomorrow with a Christmas memory.
